Overview

What you'll learn

About this course

Cloud & DevOps gives you the practical skills to deploy, run and improve real applications. You work from the Linux command line up through containers, cloud infrastructure and automated delivery pipelines.

Rather than memorising service names, you learn why each piece exists: how a container packages an app, how a pipeline removes manual steps, and how monitoring tells you when something goes wrong.

AWS is used for core concepts and hands-on practice, and the course ends with a CI/CD capstone that takes code from commit to running service.

Who this course is for

  • Developers who want to own deployment and operations
  • System administrators moving toward cloud and automation
  • Students preparing for DevOps or cloud support roles
  • Teams modernising how they ship software

Before you start

Check if this course fits you

A quick, honest look at who gets the most from this course — and a self-check you can do in seconds.

A great fit if…

  • Developers who want to own deployment and operations
  • System administrators moving toward cloud and automation
  • Students preparing for DevOps or cloud support roles
  • Teams modernising how they ship software

!You may want to start elsewhere if…

  • You are completely new to programming — build the basics first, then come back.
  • You haven't practiced the prerequisites yet (basic command-line familiarity).

Try Python Development first.

How you'll learn

What a typical module looks like

Every module follows the same four-step rhythm, so you always know what comes next.

  1. Step 1

    Learn it live

Join a live, instructor-led online session and ask questions in real time.

  2. Step 2

    Practice right away

Apply the topic in guided exercises while it's fresh, so it sticks.

  3. Step 3

    Build the assignment

Finish each module with a small, real piece of work — your own, not a copy-along.

  4. Step 4

    Get mentor feedback

A mentor reviews your work and tells you what to improve before you move on.
